Gods Grace Int School Calabar Proves a Top Contender, Competition Fierce in the Olympics of Academics
God’s Grace Int School academic team recently competed in CUMO an episode of "Olympics of Academics," an international competition organized by Chandelle Group.
Led by Mr. Aniekan-Abasi Okon Ekpo, a teacher at God’s Grace School, the team has more than fifteen members from a range of grade levels. They participated in the CUMO competition where they faced off against other schools, solving questions from all areas, including algebra, Calculus, Arithmetic, Trigonometry, Probability, and Statistics.
God’s Grace qualified for the second round by taking first and second place for the middle school & advanced primary section after the February level one. Members of the team will be traveling to Port Harcourt in July to attend Chandelle The Best Awards.
"Olympics of Academics," sponsored by ATISELA.COM, is a program that allows students to challenge each other’s knowledge in diverse areas such as math, science, literature, history, and Literacy."
The purpose of the Olympics of Academics is to showcase students’ skills and knowledge, as well as to review their curriculum and highlight African standards. "The winning schools will get a total of $8,000 cash Prize, Medals, and Scholarships."
Olympics of Academics is a competition that Students from more than a hundred schools from Africa participate. We conducted the first competition and award ceremony last year and schools like Divine Mercy Foundation School Nkpor, Dominion Spring Int School Onitsha, LilySpring Int School Port Harcourt, and Best Brain Academy Onitsha all emerged as winners.
This friendly and spirited competition among students across the world is a wonderful way for students to interact with other students and together celebrate creativity.
Teams are eligible to participate in the competition every year. God’s Grace joined the competition this year.
The July 1st show will be streamed on Chandelle+
